Rooting the DIGNO 3

Unlocking the bootloader (a necessary step to root the device) wipes any data you have on the device. Rooting the device before putting any data on it prevents you from losing any time and work.

Introduction

Prerequisites:

  1. Have ADB setup (see the Setting up ADB page).

  2. A microSD card.

  3. A PC and a microSD card reader.

  4. Having read, and understood the warning at the beginning of the page.

1. Setup

Before you can unlock the bootloader you will need to enable OEM unlocking and prepare the microSD card with a trigger file.

OEM unlocking

You will need to enable “OEM unlocking” in settings. This setting may be found under More settings > Developer options > OEM unlocking.
